Delete your Reef account and data

You can permanently delete your Reef account without contacting support.

Delete in the app

Open Reef → Profile → Settings → Delete my account, review the warning and confirm. The app deletes your account and associated database content, then signs you out. This action is irreversible.

If you cannot access the app, email contact@reeftogether.com from the address linked to the account, or include your username. A verified request is completed within 30 days.

Data covered

Account, profile and sign-in identifiers
Habits, completions, streaks, focus sessions and reflections
Ocean, creatures, pearls, decorations and rewards
Friend links, crews, challenges, messages, votes and referrals
Push tokens and the direct account identifier attached to product events or diagnostics

Uploaded media

For confirmed removal of an uploaded avatar or challenge-proof file that may still be available at a shareable asset URL, include that request in your email to contact@reeftogether.com.

Subscriptions

Deleting your Reef account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings before deleting the account.

Limited retention

Account deletion removes the direct user identifier from retained product events and diagnostics. Remote error logs are scheduled for deletion after 30 days. Product-event records without the account identifier remain only until their scheduled deletion after 180 days. Aggregate statistics and limited security, legal or backup records may remain where necessary.
